February: oat pancake

❓How often do you eat oatmeal or porridge for breakfast?

Oatmeal doesn’t get the respect it deserves!

✅ It’s a powerhouse food that’s naturally gluten-free (if you are sensitive, though, be sure to make sure they aren’t processed in a plant that processes gluten-containing foods) and it’s packed with fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

💪🏾 Among the possible health benefits of oatmeal are a reduced risk of heart disease, lower cholesterol levels, and a lower chance of developing colorectal cancer.

Try making your own oat flour by grinding oats in a high-speed blender. You can even substitute part of the flour in your recipes with oats for a more hearty flavor.

🥣 Add more oatmeal to your diet by enjoying it as a breakfast or snack, or using it as a filler when you make burgers or meatloaf (with either “real” meat or plant-based meat substitutes).
